Chocolate pots are sorta like pudding but with a little different texture. Some recipes can be pretty involved with a lot of ingredients, but I like to keep it simple. This recipe had 4 ingredients and takes minutes to make, it just needs to cool to set up, so it’s super simple and easy to do.
Take 5 oz. of semi sweet chocolate and melt it in a bowl over simmering water or in the microwave, I chose the stove, then when it’s melted just drizzle in heavy cream and a little vanilla. Pour in jars and refrigerate then top off with whip cream and dessert is done in minutes. Easy Peasy!
5 oz. semi sweet chocolate
2 c. heavy cream, divided
2 tsp. vanilla, divided
1/2 TBSP sugar
Put a bowl in a pot with water, but the water shouldn’t touch the bowl, turn burner on and bring to simmer, not a boil. Stir chocolate until it’s melted and smooth and remove bowl and drizzle in 1 3/4 cups of heavy cream and then add vanilla. Pour into jars and refrigerate for at least an hour, the take remaining heavy cream and whip until very thick add sugar and vanilla and top chocolate and refrigerate. It should be ready to serve in about 3 to 4 hours.
