Recently my husband & I took a trip to North Carolina, and on Saturday when we were there, we hit up the Raleigh State Farmers Market. OMG, I’ve never seen anything like it. If you’re ever in the area on a Saturday, you should go. The produce was unending and unbelievable. Everything you could imagine was there.
Along with a beautiful woman that I met that gave samples of Neiman Marcus bars??? I’d never heard of such a thing, but when I tasted it, I had to remake it, and remake it I did!
It’s super simple, but so tasty, in the last 3 weeks, I’ve made 4 times!
Mix cake mix with an egg and butter, spray your foil and hands with non-stick baking spray and push and pat it into a 13 x 9 baking pan.
Then top with mini chocolate chips, finely chopped pecans
and cream cheese, 2 more eggs, vanilla and confectionery sugar, then bake
Neiman Marcus Bars
1 pkg. yellow cake mix
1/2 cup butter, melted
Mix crust together and press into a greased foil line 13 x 9 pan, set aside.
1/2 bag of mini chocolate chips
1/2 cup of pecans, chopped fine
8 oz. cream cheese, soften
1 tsp. vanilla extract
2 cups confectionery sugar
Top crust mixture with chocolate chips and pecans. Mix together cream cheese and eggs, then with the mixer on low, add confectionery sugar slowly (Or it will go all over the kitchen, don’t ask how I know). Once the sugar is incorporated add vanilla, then pour over crust/chocolate chips/pecan and put in a preheated 300 degree oven for 60 to 65 minutes until the middle is just set. Cool and cut into squares.
This would be perfect to have sitting around for Thanksgiving!
